Welding Technician / Τεχνικός Συγκόλλησης

Overview

The Welding Technician is responsible for day-to-day metal fabrications and repairs with the use of various welding equipment and techniques to bond metal into various component parts. Precision and attention to detail are paramount.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials
• Calculate and measure the dimensions of parts to be welded
• Inspect structures or materials to be welded
• Cut metals and weld materials according to blueprint specifications
• Use appropriate tools, welding devices and techniques
• Monitor the welding process and adjust the heat as necessary
• Maintain equipment and machinery
• Ensure welded parts and fixtures are appropriate for the specific assemblies and structures
• Maintain safety protocols
• Perform any other relevant duty that may be required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical School Graduate
• 2-3 years of experience in welding
• Knowledge of welding techniques and metal materials
• Ability to prepare metal parts for welding
• Understanding of safety protocols and equipment usage
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
• Steady hands and good eye-hand coordination
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
• Initiative and problem-solving skills
